An iCalendar (.ics) file is a list of all-day events you can subscribe to or import once. We generate one per year from the holidays stored on this site.
Download from a year page
Open any year, for example calendar 2026 or 2026 with bank holidays, and use the .ics download on the print bar. The file uses all-day events and a stable unique ID per holiday so a re-import can replace rather than duplicate, depending on your calendar app.
Personal notes never appear in the .ics file. They stay in your browser unless you put them in a PDF. See the privacy policy.
Google Calendar
Google documents the steps at import events into Google Calendar. Use Settings, then Import, and select the .ics file. If you need a live subscription instead of a one-off import, check whether your host allows a public URL; this site’s download is a file, not a rolling webcal feed.
Outlook and Apple Calendar
Outlook (Windows or Microsoft 365) can open or import an .ics from File or from the calendar view. Apple Calendar on Mac uses File → Import. On iPhone, opening the file from Files or Mail usually offers Add All. Microsoft’s overview is on Outlook calendar import.
Which nation’s holidays
The year .ics follows the holidays stored for that year. Confirm the nation you need on the UK bank holidays pages. Scotland and Northern Ireland extra days are listed there. Always cross-check GOV.UK before payroll.
